E. Care shall be taken to coordinate excavation to a^ point not below design pipe grade. Material excavated below adopted grade shall be replaced by material which meets with the approval of the Engineer, without any additional payment. F. Where foundation conditions so require, the pipe shall be laid on screened gravel or broken stone. G. Immediately after the pipe is brought to final position, it shall be thoroughly secured and properly bedded, and ample support shall be provided to prevent settlement or distur bances. H. Pipe shall be thoroughly cleaned and ample precautions shall be taken to prevent entrance of dirt and debris into the pipe after laying. Exposed ends of the pipe line shall be provided with temporary plugs or covers. I. Precautions shall be taken by the subcontractor to guard against flotation of the pipe line after it is laid. J. Supervise backfilling of trenches in accordance with manu facturer’s requirements. K. The entire installation shall be under the supervision and approval of a certified manufacturers representative. Ob- tain manufacturers written certification of approved in~ stallation at the completion of each phase of construction including pipe testing. L. Run piping as shown on drawing, free of traps. M. Adjust location of pipes to accommodate the work to prevent interferences, both anticipated and encountered. Determine the location and exact route of each pipe prior to construc tion of fabrication.
