Battery Park Cit^B Commercial Center Bldg. "B" WTC River Water Intake System Relocations J. 5KV Splices 1. Splices shall be disconnectable type, 600-Amp modular splices as manufactured by Amerace-Esna Corp., Elastimold Division or an approved equal. In addition, each splice shall be covered with a heat shrinkable tubing. . 2. Heat shrinkable tubing shall be either irradiated modified polyvinyl-chloride or irradiated modi­ fied polyolefin as manufactured by; a. Alpha Wire Corporation b. Belden Mfg. Co. c. Electronized Chemicals Corporation d. Icore Electro Plastics Inc. e. . Penntube Plastics Co., Inc. f. Rayclad Tubes, Inc. g. Mac Products, Inc. K. Emergency Generators Electrical Sub-Contractor’ shall furnish emergency generators and distribution equipment for tempo­ rary power to pump house as shown on Drawings. 2. Emergency generators shall be 900 KW each, 277/480 volts, 3 phase, 4 wire. One unit shall be standby. 3. Provide automatic transfer switch, transform­ er (s), distribution equipment, etc., as shown on plans. 4, No splicing of conduit runs being relocated will be permitted until all temporary power equipment has been installed unless otherwise directed by Port Authority Architect. Temporary power shall be connected to the pump station before any interconnection of new and existing cables, duct banks, etc. will be permitted. 5. Sub-contractor shall furnish all necessary fuel oil and tanks and provide an on-site electrician for duration of temporary power.
