Battery Park Cit^ Commercial Center Bldg. "B" WTC River Water Intake System Relocations I- Final Field Tests 1.. After completion of the entire electrical instal­ lation and before final, acceptance testing, tho­ roughly clean and touch up damaged finishes of all equipment installed. 2. In addition to other tests which may be required in the various other Sections, perform field tests in the presence of the Port Authority Engi­ neer, to demonstrate the reliability of the elec­ trical installation. Give the Port Authority Engineer 48 hours advance notice of such tests. The following field tests shall be performed: a. Operate all electrical systems and equipment for a period of 24 hours, unless, in the , opinion of the Port Authority Engineer, a different test period is required to prove the operation and performance of a system and its equipment. b. Test all wires and cables installed under this Contract with a 1000 volt Megohmmeter. Furnish the Port Authority Engineer a copy of .the results together with an outline of the method used. If, in the opinion of the Engineer, and readings are lower than re­ quired by good practice or applicable codes, promptly replace the materials or equipment involved. c. Run a direct current high voltage proof test, on all shielded cables rated above 2 KV immediately after installation is com­ pleted. This test shall be performed before such cables are placed in regular service. Conduct tests in accordance with recommended standards for the cable involved. d. Should the foregoing tests reveal any de­ fects, promptly correct such defects and re­ run the rests until the entire installation is satisfactory in all respects.
