5.3 SITE CONTROL AND ENTRY

All employees must have proper entry identification in accordance with Office of Emergency Management, NYC Mayor’s Office.

5.4 PEDESTRIAN AND MOTORIZED TRAFFIC CONTROL

5.4.1 Pedestrian Traffic

Where dedicated pedestrian walkways to the W TC C omplex a re p rovided, t he p ath s hall b e readily identifiable and contractors shall ensure employee usage.

5.4.2 Motorized Traffic

A traffic control program shall be established and implemented for travel throughout the entire work area of the WTC Complex and surrounding areas. Contractors shall ensure that employees comply with all posted signage and designated traffic routes. The project speed limit is 5 mph.

5.4.3 Visitor and Viewing Control

All contractor visitors must be escorted full-time by a contractor employee trained in site ES&H requirements At a minimum, visitors shall wear a hard hat, eye protection and a dust mask. Visitor b adges w ill b e is sued a nd r etrieved t o e nsure a 11 v isitors a re p roperly accounted for. Specific viewing areas for visitors shall be established and identified on site maps. Appendix I (attached) is visit safety and health orientation requirements.
