3. Establish negative air pressure;

4. Removal and cleaning of non-porous furnishings that are scheduled to be saved (e.g., kitchen cabinets and countertops, bookshelves, etc.);

5. Removal and disposal of all remaining furnishings and appliances;

6. Removal of perimeter gypsum board walls, and any insulation behind the walls;

7. Removal of interior gypsum board walls and ceilings, and any insulation behind the walls. Contractor shall thoroughly HEPA vacuum the back side of any walls that may be scheduled to remain (i.e., bathroom walls that are covered with tiles);

8. Removal of HVAC units and all associated duct work;

9. Removal of pipe insulation and spray-on fireproofing;

10. Removal of all BX electrical cables and any remaining porous materials;

11. Gross cleaning of the entire work area via HEPA vacuuming and wet wiping techniques;

12. Removal of all polyethylene sheeting on the floors;

13. Removal of all exposed hardwood flooring and gross cleaning of the sub-flooring via HEPA vacuuming and wet wiping techniques;

14. Removal of carpeting and cleaning of the underlying hardwood flooring via HEPA vacuuming and wet wiping techniques;

15. Fine cleaning of the entire work area;

16. Work area clearance, to be conducted on each ioor as they are completed;

17. Installation of hard barriers at elevator doors and stairwells, to isolate the work area once it has passed clearance testing, from the rest of the building;

18. Cleaning and clearance sampling of the elevators, the elevator shaft (including the top of the elevator cars and the elevator pit), and the stairwells;

19. Removal of all isolation barriers and breaking down of the personal and waste decontamination units.

D. This project will commence once the tenants have removed any necessary materials, items, etc. from their floors. Whatever remains on the floors will be discarded by the contractor, unless explicitly designated by the tenant (in writing to the Owner) to remain.

E. All Work will be performed in accordance with applicable asbestos regulations including, but not limited to, the Rules of the City of New York Title 15, Chapter 1 (specific use of licensed asbestos handlers is required). The contractor shall file this abatement work with all appropriate agencies, including all fees.
