DEP desk at EOC Phone number changed Due to a flood of calls from the public, which interfered with official calls, DEP was forced to change the phone number to our desk at the EOC. The new number is; 646-756-6240

Vehicle wash-down 1

At this evening’s Health & Safety meeting, 1 asked about the Vehicle Wash-down Policy. Both DEC Encon Police and DDC stated rhe following policy currently in force: I h 111 h > 11 I ) I > 111 j , Except for vehicles going to Pier 25, al! vehicles wUl have their loads wetted down. Loads will be covered with a tarp. Vehicles will be washed. If vehicles are flatbeds carrying structural steel, the load will be washed clean of loose material and N OT be required to be covered with a tarp.. Following removal of the load, the truck bed is ? washed.

Dust control on pile PB reiterated that better dust control is needed on the pile. Suggested ihat the contractor take over tire spraying-down of the work areas: FDNY states feat their main task is fire 1 suppression and provide dust suppression when they can. Confounding factor is fee limited availability of water to site., PB will speak to D.Greeley to see what can be done to get more water aval] able to the site. V
