***Update to Sept 16-6 AM Report: The perimeter of the hotspot remains
the same as it was yesterday:
North: Warren Street
East: Broadway
South: Exchange Place
West: Hudson River
• Results of Air Testing:
1. Murray/Church = .022 fibers/cc NW comer
2. Fulton/Church = .034 SW comer
3. Liberty/Church = replaced w/B’way/Liberty .0082
4. Trinity/Cedar = replaced with B’way/Cedar = .033
5. Church/Dey = danger zone
6. Park Place/Greenwich = .076
7. Greenwich/Murray = .031
8. Murray bet. Church and B’way = .0124
9. Fulton bet. Church and B’way = .035
10. B’way and Murray = .045
11. Vesey bet Church and West B’way = .035
(10 & 11 - represent 2 additional sites)
• Update on HEPA Vacuuming of Financial District:
Clean-up continued through the night at financial district and Wall Street area.
There is a problem vacuuming to the west of B’way, the noise created by the
machine interfered with the rescuers activities. A Deputy Inspector from the
Police Department halted activity west of Broadwav.
EPA contractors will begin clean-up of City Hall Park and Park Row sidewalks at
7AM this morning.
• Derelict Vehicle Update:
Thus far, all derelict and towed vehicles have been moved to 2 locations:
1. Pier 76 (between 34 & 35 Streets)
2. Market Slip (under FDR). ( Total of 50 Vehicles at both sites)
EPA will HL/a vac dirt and debris at these two sites.
Another site to be established on the south side of the Hot Zone for vehicles that
are to be taken out of the hot spot (Washington & Carlysle this not yet
confirmed).
