Inspection of building revealed eentamination of lobby areas, restaurant and several bars.
Some windows blown out on facade facing south. Will put outside areas on list for
cleanup as priority. Building owner responsible for all inside areas, facade and roof top.
Building management has all ready secured perimeter of building and has begun cleanup
work.
Greenwich to Bdway between chambers and Murray
Cleanup work was completed on 9/26/01 at OSOOhours in the area from Greenwich
to Broadway, between Chambers and Murray. Advised feat Construction company is
responsible to insure no emissions from vehicles occur. At minimum, all loads must be
substantially wet down, covered with tarps, and vehicles washed. Air monitoring was
conducted in this arva to maintain deorance levels. Four air samples were taken in the
proposed area each day. AU four samples passed clearance level. These results were as
follows:

Received draft vehicle advisory as promised from DOH. Made comments and returned.
First Response
First Response personnel Fawzy and Haas made entry with FDNY and ESU into a new
un chartered area in the southwest corridor below the trade center. DEF provided real
time monitoring for vital support g inthcenvirSHSimt and took air and water samples
for further analysis. Investigation of the stability of the slurry wall was performed by
Sim
river. Additionally, air and water samples were taken to check for R22 refrigerant. An
attempt was made by rafts to try to get through a flooded area to the freon tanks to assess
there condition but was unsuccessful because of debri in the pathway.
♦ Analytical lab results indicate fee presence of sea water in fee samples. The FDNY
Office of Chief Bob Ingraham has been notified of fee results.
The daily ground zero monitoring for dangerous gases showed nonnal background levels.
