DEP HazMat performed a B5 sublevel entry with FONY on 9/30. The entry was made to ascertain
the condition of the slurry wail and the freon tanks. DEP KazMat monitored for Freon 22 with a
d>0ct reading instrument. Al! readings for freon£2 were 2sro. in addition, water sampies from the
f.ooded path train subway fracks were taken. Samples will be anal^^zed for Freon 22 and results
w’<l be reported 10/1. As many precautions as possible for safety and exposure were taken given
iSa conditions of entry. D£P HazMat r'lonrtored the atmosphere for oxygen, explosive conditions,
freon22 and volatile organics. DEP determined that conditions at the time of entry were
