Clean-up Contractors; Contract Requirements

1) NYSDOL licensed asbestos contractor with NYCDEP and NYSDOL certified asbestos workers 2) Contractor must have performed at least 25 asbestos projects and must have submitted asbestos project notification forms for such jobs with NYC DEP within the last two years. The size of the projects must involve the disturbance of more than 1000 linear feet and / or more than 1000 square feet of asbestos containing material (ACM). 3) The contractor must have had no more than five Class A infractions of Title 15, Chapter 1 of the Rules of the City of New York within the past four (4) years. Contractors with violation histories that include two or more infractions for “dry removal of asbestos containing material” and/or “failure to sufficiently wet down ACM” within the last four years will be automatically disqualified. 4) Contractor must have been in the asbestos abatement business for at least two years. 5) Contractor must not have any Vendex disclaimer.
