Eating, drinking, chewing gum or tobacco, smoking, or any practice that increases the probability of hand-to-mouth transfer and ingestion of any material is prohibited in any area designated as a contamination reduction zone or exclusion zone.____________ No horse play._________________________________________________________________ No matches or lighters in these zones.________________________________________________ Check-in on entrance to the contamination reduction zone. Check-out on exit from this zone. Entrance and exit locations shall be designated and emergency escape routes delineated. Warning signals for site evacuation have been established.___________________________________________________ Implement the communications system. Communications using radios, hand signals, signs, or other means shall be maintained between work crew members at all times. Emergency commimication shall be prearranged in case of radio failure, necessity for evacuation off site, or other reasons.___________ Maintain visual contact between exclusion zone entrants.__________________________________ Wear the appropriate level of protection as defined in the site specific Health and Safety Plan._______ Work will only be performed during daylight hours unless adequate lighting is available.___________ Contact with known or suspected contaminated surfaces should be avoided. Whenever possible, there will be no walking through puddles or discolored surfaces; kneeling on ground; or leaning, sitting or placing equipment on drums, containers, or the groimd.____________________________________ Prescribed drugs should not be taken by persoimel where the potential for absorption, inhalation, or ingestion of toxic substances exists, unless specifically approved by a qualified physician.__________ All respirator wearers must be certified as being capable of wearing respiratory protection (physician's approval, fit tested) while performing their assigned tasks. All respirator wearers must have been fit tested, within the past 12 months, with the make and size respirator to be worn. No facial hair is allowed that would interfere with respirator fit.__________________________________________ Work areas for all operational activities shall be clearly established and clearly delineated in the site specific Health and Safety Plan._____________________________________________________ Work areas and decontamination procedures shall be established based on expected site conditions and clearly delineated in the site specific Health and Safety Plan.

Personnel and equipment in the exclusion zone(s) will be minimized, consistent with effective site operations.
