Product—Thermal insulation.

Prescribed Test—ASTM E136-65 and toxicity.
Test Report—American Standards Testing Bureau, Inc. No. 15071, dated January 9, 1973.
Descriiition—.A urea formaldehyde resin which is treated under air pressure with a foaming
agent to produce a foamy liquid. This material flows into and fills all cavities and
spaces, and after it cold sets acts as a thermal insulating material.
Recommendation—That the above described material be accepted as complying with the
definition of a non-combustible material for use where permitted in the Building Code.
It shall not be used to give a fire resistance rating to an assembly unless the entire
assembly is tested for such fire resistance rating. All shi|>ments and deliveries of
such materials shall be accompanied by a certificate or label certifying that the mate
rials shipped or delivered are equivalent to those tested and acceptable, for use, as
provided for in sub-article 106.0 of the Building Code.
