to allow cleaning of the underlying surface and will be returned to its original location.
q- Dishwashers toe plates will be removed and the floor beneath the appliance will be
cleaned.
r. Protective covers on firmed radiant heaters and baseboard heaters will be removed to
expose heat elements. Fins are to be brushed and vacuumed to remove dust.
s. All cleaning equipment will be vacuumed and/or washed for use on the residence.
3. HEPAairfiltrationdevices(AFDs) will run continuously duringall cleaning activities. Aminimum
of one air change every 30-minutes shall be provided.
4. At least one asbestos supervisor shall be present at each work place (work place is defined in Title
14, Chapter 1 RCNY as the work area and the decontamination enclosure system).
5. A cleaning checklist (to be developed) will be completed by the supervisor at the completion of
the cleaning.
6. A thorough visual inspection will be conducted by the Project Monitor to verify the absence of
visible dust accumulations. Additional clean-up procedures shall be performed where visible dust
is observed.
7. Air sampling shall be performed by the Monitoring Contractor after the area is free of dust
accumulations as determined by the Proj ect Monitor. Ifthe apartment does not meet the cleanup
criteria of0.0009 fibers/cc(TEM), the apartment will be recleaned at no additional cost and

8. Any damage or loss to that occurs during cleaning is the responsibility ofthe cleaning contractor.
The cleaning contractor is not responsible for damage or loss caused by the acts ofparties not
involved in the cleanup.
9. All waste generated shall be treated as asbestos containing material and shall be transported and
disposed ofin compliance vsdth Title 15, Chapter 1 ofthe Rules ofthe City ofNew YorkandNew
York Industrial Code Rule 56. Transportation and disposal of generated waste shall be in
compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.
