These effects are the result of our inability to transport the senior staff, middle management, and technical specialists, of area corporations, who now, more than ever, have to travel to multiple locations in the shortest time possible. Additionally the business community needs to assure it's customer base that it is safe, and manageable, to travel to Manhattan to conduct business. Many times this level of confidence, and actual ability to reach Manhattan, in a secure and timely manner, can only be provided by the use of FAR Part 91 helicopters, as well as FAR Part 135 commercial helicopters, that are chartered for this purpose.
We believe that our access to two of the New York City heliports can be restored while maintaining the appropriate levels of security and safety, and not modifying the existing 3NM restriction surrounding the WTC site. We have not requested access to the Wall Street heliport due to it's extremely close proximity to the WTC site.
