NYC 9/11 Public Portal Document
How will individuals stationed in the Support Zone access the communication and alarm
system in case of an emergency if they are in Level D PPE?
This section has been edited to remove reference to communication and alarm
system.
Section 2.10.1: Emers<encv Response Training: Page 29: In Paragraph
10. Airtek's response to EPA comment #25 states that the Emergency Action Plan is
referenced in Section 2 of the HASP. However, it still does not appear that Section 2
includes the following items: emergency site operations shut down procedures,
procedures for the response to fires, the location and the figure of the emergency meeting
and/or "lay down" location(s), a discussion of what the site alarm system and the
evacuation signals and alarms will entail, and the procedures to be taken for a fire.
New sections 2.14, 2.15 and 2.16 have been added to address these comments.
Section 2.12: Accident Prevention & Investisation: Page 31:
11. This section discusses some procedures for "minor accidents" such as a "small fire".
What will be the procedures with regards to a fire that is not deemed "small"? At what
point, and who is responsible for, notifying emergency responders (e.g., the fire
department) of a fire, small or large?
New sections 2.14, 2.15 and 2.16 have been added to address these comments.
