identify fibers one tenth the size of those characterized by the Phased Contrast Microscopy (PCM) method. In addition, the TEM test standard of 70 structures per square millimeter of filter surface the methodology used by school systems nationally to assure that children are protected. 3. We will provide a listing of the air test results by date and location from ATC for all the hallways and other common areas as soon as it is available from the lab. 4. We will continue to have ATC perform air sampling in random locations in the building every two weeks for at least the next two months and will provide copies of the results as available. The ATC ongoing testing will be performed on November 7th, November 21St and December 5th. You can sign up at the concierge for your apartment to be tested on those dates if you prefer. 5. We will have ATC perform air tests for heavy metals such as lead, and chromium in addition to pcb, pvc (dioxin), and volatile organic compounds. The test samples should be taken on October 25th and we will advise you of the results when available. 6. We will have ATC inspect every apartment in the building on October 24th between 9:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. to confirm any potential dust conditions. RMC staff will accompany ATC, and we will use our keys to access your apartment if you are not at home. 7. Contractors qualified to handle rigging according to a protocol established by ATC will be cleaning the exterior of the building. We are expecting the contractor will start at the beginning of the week of October 29th and will work on a 7 day per week schedule subject to weather conditions. 8. Our building staff is now equipped to use HEPA vacuums in common areas for isolated dust locations that you believe are concerns. Simply advise the concierge desk and they will respond. 9. If you desire, we can provide you a HEPA vacuum for you to use in your apartment. Simply sign it out at the concierge desk. 10. We will clean any a/c filter in your apartment as you request. We are investigating the replacement of the a/c unit filters in your apartments with filters that take out more particles from the air. The standard filter is a wire mesh that is not very efficient at removing particles in the current environment. We are therefore reviewing the possibility of replacing them throughout the building with more efficient filters that will fit in the existing filter sleeves. 12. All the fresh air that comes into the building for common areas and is heated and/or air-conditioned for the lobby, hallways etc is currently filtered. This filtered air is provided to the lobby and hallways under a small amount of pressure and finds its way into all the apartments by design for a healthy turnover of fresh air. The circulation is continued as the air in your apartment is drawn out through the vents in your bath and kitchen areas and exhausted at the roof. We will be immediately replacing our standard filters in the common area HVAC equipment, which are rated to collect approximately 15% of particulate as small as 3 microns, with high efficiency filters that will remove 250% of the particulate of the same size as the standard filters. In addition, we will double the frequency that these filters are
