C. Disposal: Transport demolished materials off Owner's property and legally dispose of them.
3.8 SELECTIVE DEMOLITION SCHEDULE
A. Existing Items or Construction to Be Removed:
1. Interior non-bearing partitions as indicated on the Contract Drawings including, but not
limited to, elevator shaft enclosures, stairway #1 enclosure, restroom walls.
2. Stairway #1, cast-in-place concrete stairs and landings.
3. Elevator equipment, rails, cars and motors.
4. Rooftop water storage tanks and related dunnage.
5. Plumbing fixtures.
6. Electrical Switchgear and panels
7. Steam pipes and perimeter radiators.
8. Exterior brick parapets and face bricks from concrete parapets.
9. Aluminum windows and frames on the North and South facades (See JCL abatement
documents for removal of Steel casement and existing steel).
10. Exterior masonry spandrel panels and non-bearing masonry brick mullions.
11. Exterior concrete façade panels on ground, 2' & 3"' floors.
12. Rooftop bulkheads enclosures and concrete structure except for stairway #2.
13. North-end of main roof slab and concrete parapet backup as indicated on Contract
Drawings.
14. Concrete columns and masonry walls directly beneath concrete roof slab to be removed,
down to 12th floor slab.
B. Existing Items to Be Removed and Salvaged:
1. Undamaged face brick, suitable for reuse in façade restoration.

C. Existing Items to Remain:
1. Firestair #2— cast-in-place concrete stair enclosure, stair, landings and railings to remain
in place and free of debris.
2. Exterior masonry veneer at concrete pilasters as indicated on the Contract Drawings.
3. Structural concrete floor slabs and columns unless specifically noted to be demolished or
judged to be unstable by Structural Engineer.
4. Existing structural shoring until damaged area is either removed or repaired.
D. Existing Items Assumed to Contain Hazardous Materials:
1. Provide Add/Alternate pricing for all items listed in abatement scope which are assumed
to contain hazardous materials, but have not yet been tested because of inaccessiblity.
Including, but not limited to:
a. Boilers and related fuel storage tanks in Basement.
b. Electrical Wiring.
c. See JLC abatement drawings and specification for full list of Assumed materials.
E. Existing Items to be Removed Confirmed Hazardous Materials:
1. See JCL abatement drawings and specification for extent of abatement work.
