SECTION 07900 JOINT SEALERS PART 1.00 - GENERAL 1.01 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS A. Work of this Section, as shown or specified, shall be in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. 1.02 WORK INCLUDED A. The work of this Section includes all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary to complete the joint sealers work as shown on the drawings and specified herein, Including but is not limited to the following: 1. Exterior wall joints as required at shelf angle detail. 1.03 RELATED WORK SPECIFIED ELSEWHERE A. Section 04901— CLAY MASONRY RESTORATION AND CLEANING 1.04 QUALITY ASSURANCE A. Qualification of Installers: Use only personnel who are thoroughly familiar, skilled and specially trained In the techniques of sealant work, and who are completely familiar with the published recommendations of the sealant manufacturer. 1.05 SUBMITTALS A. Samples: Submit the following: 1. Color samples of sealants. 2. Sealant bond breaker and joint backing. B. Product Data: Submit manufacturer's technical information and installation instructions for. 1. Sealant materials, indicating that material meet standards specified herein. 2. Backing rods. 3. Data sheets for manufacturer's recommended solvents. 1.06 ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS A. Temperature: Install all work of this Section when air temperature is above forty (40) degrees F. and below eighty (80) degrees F., unless manufacturer submits written Instructions permitting sealant use outside of this temperature range. B. Moisture: Do not apply work of this Section on surfaces which are wet, damp, or have frost. 1.07 PRODUCT HANDLING A. Production: Use all means necessary to protect the materials of this Section, before, during and after installation and to protect the installed work and materials of all other trades. B. Replacements: In the event of damage, immediately make all repairs and replacements as necessary. C. Storage 1. Store sealant materials and equipment under conditions recommended by their manufacturer.
