Inspection Details:
As part of the survey, the Mechanical and the Environmental Professionals inspected the HVAC system types listed
below.
A. A total of five (5) mechanical exhaust fans of kitchens and bathrooms located on the main roof, two (2)
mechanical exhaust fans located on the roof of the elevator room, one (1) mechanical exhaust fan located on
the roof of the ME room, two (2) mechanical exhaust fans located on the 14th floor, one (1) mechanical exhaust
fan located in the basement.
B. Two (2) chimneys stacks located on the main roof and two (2) chimneystacks located on the roof of the
elevator room (these two (2) stacks were not inspected because the air outlets more than 20 If in height above
the roof level).
C. One (1) HVAC unit located on the roof of the elevator room and serving the elevator room
D. One (1) AC-2 unit located in the compactor room and serving the lobby.
E. One (1) heating unit located in the lobby and serving the east side of the lobby.
F. One (1) heating unit located in the lobby and serving the west side of the lobby.
G. One (1) HV-1 located in the basement and serving the basement rooms and the hallways on all floors.
Detailed identification data and visual inspections are documented in the attached checklists.
Summary of Findings:
HV- I unit heavy accumulation of WTC related dust was observed inside the unit between the air intake grill and the
filter. WTC related dust was not observed beyond the filters.
WTC related dust was observed in the mechanical exhaust fans # 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09 (as they are numbered in the
evaluation forms) in the units and their associated components. Approximately 1,300.00 linear feet of ductwork is
covered with WTC related dust and needs to be cleaned.
All the other systems inspected appear to be free of WTC. dust.
All the findings are documented in the attached evaluation forms.
Scope of Work:
Clean the exhaust fans # 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09 located on the main roof, on the roof of the elevator room and
on the 14th floor, along with their associated components and ducts.
Also clean the entire system of the HV1 located in the basement.
