Mr. Radhakrishnan:
Director
Asbestos Control Program
Dear Mr. Radhakrishnan:
On February 16, 2002 staff of your organization entered our hotel the Holiday Inn Wall Street and left
the attached documents for my review.
We were unaware of any NYC DEP or DOH advisement to building owners regarding the aftermath of
the World Trade Center event.
Saying this our hotel took steps immediately after the WTC event to ensure we presented a safe
environment to our staff and guests. A listing of these steps and invoices proving such work was done
is attached for your review:
1. We removed all 138-guest room and public space HVAC units performed a general
maintenance and changed all filters.
2. We cleaned all grills on HVAC noted above to remove surface dust and debris.
3. We cleaned all exterior windows 138-guest rooms.
4. We removed all debris from sidewalk, building façade and metal surfaces up to the third floor
of the hotel.
5. We removed and replaced all exterior plantings.
We believe we did perform due diligence in taking action to clean our hotel of any hazardous materials
following the events of September 11 expending over $19,925.
If I can be of further assistance please contact me.
Sincerely,
) Fn C. Nicholas
