ATC Associates Inc (ATC) is pleased to provide this report of the results of the wipe samples for polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) collected on May 17,2002, at the referenced location. The New York City Board of Education (BOE) requested these samples to evaluate possible contamination in the school building.

SCOPE OF WORK

The samples were collected using sterile gauze pads and hexane as a solvent. The samples were analyzed by PSC Analytical Services, Tnc. (PSC), an American Industrial Hygiene Association- accredited laboratory in Reading, PA. The analysis was performed using EPA Method 8082B.

Wagdi Abdelshahid, Industrial I-lygicniSt of ATC’s New York City office, collected the samples consistent with generally accepted industrial hygiene practices. The results of the sampling represent conditions found on the dates the samples were collected.

Results ATC submitted twenty-two samples (including one blank) to PSC for analysis. A copy of die analytical laboratory rqjort is provided in the attadmient. The sample area for each sample was 100 square centimeters (lOOcm^). The twcnty-one areas sampled were;

• HVAC 2 - Surface by the intake; ♦ HVAC 3 - Surface by the intake; • HVAC 5 - Surface by intake; • Room 14 - Desk; • Room 28-Floor; • Room 3fi - Wall; • Room 23 - Tabic; • Room 29 - Vent opening;
