Dear Mr. Orlan;
At your request, ATC Associates, Inc. representative Mr. Herant Antonyant visited P.S. OOIM located at 8 Henry Street, New York, NY 10038 on August 24, 2002. The purpose of the site visit was to perform a settled dust bulk sampling to be analyzed for fiberglass fiber content on areas indicated to ATC by the New York City Board of Education (NYC-BOE). These areas are the following;
• 1“ Floor Lobby • Cafeteria • 1 Floor, 2"^ Floor, 3"* Floor, 4“' Floor, 5*” Floor Hallway • 1“ Floor Playarea • 2“* Floor Auditorium • Room 213, 402
The purpose of the dust bulk sampling is to determine if settled dust in the school contains fiberglass fibers.
As per your request, a total of eleven (11) settled dust bulk samples were collected from the aforementioned areas and were analyzed utilizing Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM).
Analytical results indicated that none of the eleven (11) collected settled dust bulk samples contain fiberglass fibers.
The settled dust bulk sampling performed was limited to testing for fiberglass in locations indicated by the NYC-BOE.
