VEB 7. / Mr. Douglas Smith Bureau of Sewers 40 Worth Street New York, NY 10013 Re: 7 World Trade Center Pavers Plans Borough of Manhattan Dear Mr. Smith:

We are submitting herewith three (3) sets of revised pavers plans in response to the comments made in your letter of January 26, 1987 and at our meeting of February 6, 1987. The plans are revised as follows:

1. The existing catch basin at the northeast corner of Vesey Street and Washington Street north of the PC will remain in place. As discussed the existing grate will be retained and adjusted to meet the proposed grades. There will be no conversion to a manhole casting. Also the existing 12" DIP connection to the manhole shall be cleaned.

2. The proposed catch basin in the vicinity of the location mentioned in item (1) above shall be connected to the existing manhole with a new 12" ductile iron pipe. The existing 12 inch pipe and catch basin will be removed. As noted at our meeting we feel that it will not be physically possible to locate this new basin east (upstream) of the pedestrian cross walk because of utility conflicts (168-4" telephone conduits). Mr. La Greca of NYCDOT, Bureau of Highway Operations, concurred with the location of catch basins shown on the Pavers Plan. We've asked Jerry Blaustein of the Builders Pavers Section to contact Ms. Doss of your office to confirm this. 3. The existing 12" DIP connection from the existing manhole to the main sewer in Vesey Street shall be cleaned as part of the construction (see Note 'E' on Drawing B-2 of the Pavers Plan). 4. Reference to the proposed 10" "house connection" accommodating storm drainage from the pedestrian bridge has been removed from the plans.
