Shaw, Jr., P.E., Director of Engineering, Track & Structures National Railroad Passenger Corporation 200 Maticet Street Philadelphia, PA 19103 RE: West Side Connection, Grading Drainage and Track Construction from West 37th Street to Harlem River, Borough of Manhattan, Dear Mr. Shaw: This in reply to your submittal of contract plans with a letter dated November 18,1987 regarding the above referenced project. Please be advised of the following comments of this department: 1. On sheets No. T-6 and T~14, the existing sewer into which drainage flow is discharges should be shown. ; 2. On the profile drawings existing sewers underneath railroad tracJ^ should be shown and their invert elevations indicated. 3. Oh sheet No. T-19, structural details and calculations for the following items are required. a) Removal of existing manhole by constructing a structural cap. b) Construction of a new manhole on the existing 5'-6"X5'-0" sewer.
