Dear Mr. Farag: Attached is one set of 100% plans and specifications for our proposed rehabilitation of the former Conrail/New York Central West 30th Street Branch for Amtrak service. Please review the drainage aspects as they relate to City Sewers and provide comments by December 4, 1987. i For the most part, our drainage work consists of clean up and repair of the existing drainage system - clean out of pipes, manholes and catch basins - in this contract and in a prior right-of-way clearing contract. For purposes of identification, the drainage system can be divided into four distinct areas:

Area 1: West 37th Street to West 60th Street (Sheets T-1 to T14).

Area 2: West 60th Street to West 72nd Street (Sheets T-14 to T-19). Area 3: West 72nd Street to the Viaduct at 125th Street (Sheets T-19 to T-37)

Area 4: Viaduct to Spuyten Duyvil (Harlem River) (Sheets T-37 to T-56).

In Area 1, we are rehabilitating the existing piped drainage system. Outfall is pumped to City sewers at two locations - West 42nd Street and West 59th Street. We will be installing new pumps in the existing pumping stations as separate work.

In Area 2, we are constructinganewgrayitystormsewer to drain our 55 foot wideeasement through the Trump parcel. Since right-of-way width is limited and the“areaisto be eventually overbuilt, we are installing a combined storm sev/er/underdrain. The area between West 66th Street and West
