D. Make certain that all materials selected directly or by suppliers conform to the requirements of the con­ tract drawings and specifications. Transmittal of such specifications and drawings information to per­ sons manufacturing and supplying materials to the project, and rigid adherence thereto, is the Subcon­ tractor's responsibility. Approval of a manufac­ turer's name by the Contractor does not release the Subcontractor of the responsibility for providing mciterials which comply in all respects with the re­ quirements in the Contract Documents. E. Applicable equipment and materials to be listed by Underwriters' Laboratories and Manufactured in accor­ dance with UL, ASTM, AIEE, ASME, AWWA, or ANSI stan­ dards, and as approved by local authorities having jurisdiction. 1.11 CODES AND FEES A. Codes 1. Comply with all current codes, ordinances and regulations, as well as with requirements of NFPA, UL, National Electrical Code, N.Y.C. Elec­ trical Code and all other applicable codes. 2. Comply with the requirements of the New York City Building Code, Port Authority of New York and Nev; Jersey Construction Guidelines, and the Construc­ tion Guidelines of Battery Park City Authority, and other agencies or authorities having juris­ diction over any part of the Work and secure all necessary permits. 3. Where codes or standards are listed herein,- the applicable portions apply. 4. Plans, specifications, codes and standards are all minimum requirements. Where requirements differ, apply the more stringent. 5. Should any change in plans or specifications be required to comply with Governmental regulations, the Subcontractor to notify the Contractor at the time of submitting his bid. 6. The codes and standards.listed in the Specificn- tions can be obtained from the organizations listed as follows:
