On behalf of the New York Academy of Medicine and in collaboration with Ms. Jane Kenny, Regional Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, I would like to invite you to a meeting to discuss the results of the EPA initiatives in lower Manhattan. In June 2002, the New York Academy of Medicine organized a meeting of respected physicians and scientists in the field of environmental health at which EPA presented a framework of the indoor dust cleanup program for residents in lower Manhattan who had been affected by the World Trade Center attack. EPA fourid.the dialogue which was conducted tremendously helpful. . ..

EPA would like to meet with the group again, under the auspices of the Academy, to provide the results of several of its efforts to date. A discussion of these results will no doubt again be extremely useful to EPA as it discusses these issues with the public and considers how the results should influence the policies and programs of the future in the event of terrorism or major disasters involving potential environmental impacts. The agenda will include:
