Chuck:
I forwarded the revised PAH reports earlier today. The dioxin reports are due in tomorrow. JLC has not collected any clearance samples to date.
We performed the “final” visual inspections today. The areas did not pass the visual inspection. We are going to be re-inspecting on Thursday. If the inspection is successful, JLC will start the clearance monitoring immediately thereafter.
If you have any questions, or need any additional update information, please give me a call (718) 595-3657. Thanks for the help. ---Penny

Penny,
I wanted to check with you to see what your expectations were for the data that is being forwarded to me. My understanding was that I am to review the data to make sure it is being reported correctly and to keep abreast of the progress that is being made there so that when the project is finished we (EPA) can provide a letter saying that we examined the data and the building is cleared (similar to what we did for 125 Cedar Street).
However, I noticed on the most recent asbestos results that there were three exceedances, which would indicate that recleaning and retesting is necessary. I am assuming that you or the project manager (or both!) are aware of this already, but I wanted to check with you to see if you wanted/needed me to identify exceedances as I receive the data also.
Thanks,
Chuck
