EPA 9/11 response compared to recent evacuation of Senate after asbestos release EPA and NYC concealed, altered, and deleted data showing asbestos after the collapse of the WTC. They did not admit that either residents or workers were being exposed to levels over their standard of 70 s/mm^. They did not advise anyone to evacuate as a precaution until it could be assured that nobody would be exposed. This is in stark contrast to a very recent event of a much lower asbestos risk in the U.S. Senate building in Washington, DC. This event took place 7/7/04.*^ The Senate chambers were promptly evacuated after it was found that air levels were 99 s/mm^ in only one air test. See the following news report: 12
