c) Develop a coordinated public information campaign.

The public information campaign will likely include releasing radio Public Service Announcements, establishing community meetings, and developing outreach materials such as posters, pamphlets, flyers, and other informational tools which will be available at the clearinghouse. A video demonstrating indoor cleanup techniques may also be developed and disseminated via the clearinghouse. Information from ATSDR’s and other on-site work will be used to develop enhanced cleaning protocols, as appropriate.

d) Establish a community liaison position

A liaison will be identified to work with local parties to resolve indoor air quality issues.

Costs: $200,000

5) Establish an Advisory/Peer Review Group

An advisory/peer review group will be created to provide input to the Indoor Air Task Force. The group would consist of individuals with extensive experience in evaluating indoor air contamination. This advisory group would help comment on such activities as, effectiveness of recommended cleaning procedures for WTC-affected dwellings, identification of contaminants- of-concem, and associated health screening values for the indoor environment. Costs would reimburse group members for their expenses associated with these activities such as travel and per diem. Funds may also be needed to provide stipends for participation by peer review experts.

Cost: $1 million
