Residential/Commercial Indoor Cleaning and Sampling
The sampling and cleanup of residences may be needed at certain locations. EPA is still waiting to hear estimates from New York City Agencies on the total number of buildings that may need interior abatement At this time, EPA is estimating that up to 5 residences may require cleanup and sampling. This estimate is approximately 45% of the 1 l,i residences identified in a 10-block radius of the WTC. Cleanup of the interiors of the building will proceed according to lessons learned above. Chemicals of concern will be developed with the assistance of the advisory/peer review group based on information collected to date.
