Dave,
CLO has handled at least 7 inquiries on individuals from that address and two offices have expressed broader
concerns aboui that building. The consensus of the two offices (Representative Nadler and Assembley Speaker
Silver) is that the building will not be habitable by March 10 and they are seeking an extension of the benefits period
for rental assistance for these individuals.
I spoke to Brad on Monday who indicated all of the residents who requested EPA cleanup at 105 Duane would be
expedited, he also stressed that there was no WTC damage at that address.
In addition, you assisted us in getting a TX NPSC report run on this address because Representative Nadler's office
asked that we identify how many in the building are still receiving FEMA assistance. The string of e-mails included a
comment from Cindy Howell that none of the 79 applicants are receiving assistance at this time, however, CLO
Bryan Pojanowski indicated that he checked 20% of the 79 applicants and most of them were still receiving FEMA
assistance. I ave attached a spreadsheet he prepared highlighting those he found to be still receiving assistance
and copied hir . on this e-mail.
I think this is a potentially politically sensitive issue and I'm sure Mac is following this from a Public Affairs
perspective as well. Perhaps this can be a point of discussion for tomorrow mornings FRO meeting so we can all
get direction from Brad.
Thanks,
Mark

Cindy
This applicant has reached her 18 months of rental assistance (ER). She states that she still can not afford
her rent. That the EPA has not cleaned her home to date. Can you check and see if her home has been
cleaned, if not when will it be cleaned?
