Hello Effie,

Claimants: Kristen Hart & Luis Rodriquez.

Is the below and attached information from James Garin sufficient? You had requested that I obtain information as to why water mains were added to the project.

As James indicated, Nick will forward the scope sketches for the retaining wall project.

Thank you.

Sarah

Sarah, please see the attached service request report from our Maintenance Division. It shows that we responded to a street cave-in and discovered multiple service line breaks. Usually, an undetected break will wash away the soil in the area that causes a sink hole and the possibility of other breaks. There is no mention of the retaining wall in the report.

Nick, will forward to you the scope sketches for the retaining wall project. The water main replacements are added to capital projects based on age requirements. All water mains in a Capital Contract today get replaced if they were installed prior to 1970. Thanks
