ConEd requests sewer and water service for temporary steam plants
BWSO’s Connections met with ConEd. Arrangements were made for a 6” wet
connection to the 20” on Vesy Street and an 8” connection into the sewer not the sewer
stack as was originally proposed by ConEd.

OEM requests water service connection for Pier 36/37
Understand that this would be a major job since a substantial amount of reinforced
concrete would have to be removed. Investigating obtaining water from another location.

Attached is a revised access jxjlicy. DEP continues to be able tot enter site with DEP ID
and another form of ID. NOTE: This policy is expected to be changed in the next few
days.

Update: Nothing to report
NYSDOHJim Cov^ and NYSDEC questioned the quality of the water to be/is being
pumped outfrom the basements of the WTC andfrom the PA tunnel and into the sewers.
DEC has indicated that they are willing to take the lead on this issue (plan, protocol and
tdtimate disposal), but they need NYC to askfor such assistance.
