DEP, in conjunction with your agency, has proposed an expedited cleanup of those buildings identified with debris. DEP has developed a scope of work and a cost estimate for FEMA funding as discussed with your agency’s representative. DEP has also included funding for additional debris clean-up should our agencies decide to expand the ciurent zones based on continuing inspections. DEP has agreed to manage the project including bringing on contractors. We would appreciate you paying contractors directly in order to expedite the process. We are requesting that your agency bring this proposal to FEMA on an expedited basis so that we may bring this issue to closure as soon as possible.

Thank you for your continuing support.

Sincerely,

Diana Chapin First Deputy Commissioner
