C. Windows and Doors

1, hl kind repair or replacement of damaged or deteriorated windows and doors.

2. Replacement of window panes in kind or with clear double or triple glazing. provided the result does not alter the existing window .materia! and form. Also. historic windows or glazing may be treated with clear window films. Titis .Allowance does not apply to the replacement of existing archaic or decorative glass.

3. In kind repair of historic door and window hardware.

D. Exterior Walls. Cornices. Porches and Foundations

1. Cleaning to remove surface dirt consistent with .Appendix R 9, Performance Standards for Cleaning .Masonry Exteriors.

2. Cleaning to remove paint (signage) from masonrx- exleriors consistent with .Appendix' B, Performance Standards for Removing Paint (Signage) from .Masonrv.

3. Repainting of surfaces, provided that destnictive surlace preparation treatments are not used, such as water blasting, sandblasting, power sanding, and chemical cleaning.

4. In kind repair or partial replacement of porches, cornices. e.xterior siding, doors. balustrades, stairs, or trim.

Substantially in kind repair or replacement of signs or awnings.

6. Temporary stabilization bracing or shoring, provided .such work does not result in additional damage, significant los.s of historic fabric, or in eversible alterations.

7 .Anchoring of walls to floor systems, provided the anchors are embedded and concealed from exterior view, such as in the Hilti systems, and disturbed historic labric i.s restored in kind.
