Workers shall be informed of the site emergency response procedures and potential health or safety I and exposure hazards of the project by their respective agencies or employers. Unsafe conditions or situations that may pose immediate danger to life and health will be reported to the designated I agency representatives to allow for proper employee notification. I

Site workers need to understand that the sorting operation is a crime scene; therefore the FBI and NYPD have authority with respect to site operational activities. Phillips and Jordan is the Construction Manager of the work site, and EE&G is serving as Health and Safety facilitators for the Work Site.

1.1.2 Plan Objectives

The primary objectives of this plan are as follows:

Identify potential hazards at the work site.

Establish a minimum basis for assessing that the personal protection equipment (PPE) provided is adequate to protect onsite workers within controlled areas.

Establish a satisfactory level of PPE to minimize the potential for site workers to be exposed to potential air-bome hazards above applicable exposure criteria and minimize the potential for injuries or accidents to site workers.
