On Wednesday June 7,2000 I met with the water dept again to inspect the leak. This was after they shut the 12' main on 6th ave. The leak was the same as before but I told them it slowed down only so they could turn it over to leak detection unit for sounding the street. I then spoke with Ernie Williams who is the head supervisor at the 38th st. yard. He said he would create an order and get this done either Wed. night or Thurs. morning. When I called Mr. Williams yesterday, he said that he only put the request in that morning and they most likely wouldn't do anything until this weekend. I check the leak numerous times during the day and there's no change. We also had the sump pit chopped last night and the waterproofing will be done this evening. A sump is on order and I am working on getting the power over to that corner for the pump. I will not have an answer if they sounded the street until Monday morning at the earliest.
