IMPACT OF CASE-MANAGEMENT AND SERVICES
FOR MENTALLY ILL PEOPLE LEAVING JAIL
The effects of case management and treatment services provided to mentally ill individuals
discharged from correctional custody were studied. The following reductions in arrests and
hospitalizations post-release are shown below. A number of other studies support these results.
