In response to your request GAC Environmental, Inc. ("GC') performed an environmental assessment of the asbestos impact from the World Trade Cent*r ("WTC") disaster at 85 Worth Street. Matthew Stock and Jason Bell of (SAC: performed'the assessment on May 16, 2002 utilizing the following protocols:
Asbestos Assessment Protocol
The asbestos assessment was comprised of the following jive (5) elements:
• A determination as to the location, and airborne fiber levels, of any asbestos contamination caused by the result WTC disaster. • Inspections and air monitoring were performed on May 16; 2002 on all floors of the building. • Bulk samples were taken on May 16, 2002 from outside the windows of different floors in the building. All samples were analyzed by Polarized Li lt Microscopy ("PLM"). • Air samples were taken May 16, 2002 from various areas throughout the building, and were on
analyzed 'Transmission Electron Microscopy ("TEM"). • Interviews were conducted with personnel from the
