NYC 9/11 Public Portal Document FEE-28-2022 @1:09AМ ENVIFOSPECT 631 366 5281 F.20 November 5, 2001 Mr. Jeffrey Hymowitz Weinstein and Holtzman 29 Park Row New York, NY 10038-2302 Dear Jetf, Enclosed you will find copies of the analysis on the samples taken throughout your building on October 22 and October 23. All analysis were wall within safe limits with the exception of 3 PCM samples. The PCM (which is the amount of fibers in the air) standard is.01 fibers per cubic centimeter. There were three areas that exceeded that limit. One sample taken in the front of the store was at.014 F/CC, one taken in the basement was at.017 F/CC and the final taken in the residential living room was at.02 F/CC. Please bear in mind that this is a screening test for the purpose of discovering all fibers; asbestos as well as non-asbestos containing. Definitive testing (TEM) done with an electron microscope revealed no asbestos fibers present in any of the three locations. The additional tests completed were for lead content and particulate content. Lead standards allow levels of up to 35 parts per billion airborne. In all cases, lead levels were reported as less than 1 part per billion which are essentially non detect levels. The final test, particulate has allowable levels of up to 15 parts per million. At this level the particulate in the air would actually be visible to the naked eye. In all tests done at your location, the reportable levels were less than.85 parts per million or less than 4 parts per million, which again are essentially non detectable levels. Hopefully thistesting information will allow you and your employees to feel safer working in that region. Please contact me at 631 366-5294 with any comments or questions. Thank you.
