Dear Mr. Pawlowski:

In response to a request from your office, LiRo-Kassner, Inc. conducted dust sampling and testing on the roof of the building located at 44 Beaver Street in Manhattan. The sampling was performed on Tuesday, March 4, 2002 by a New York State Department of Labor licensed air sampling technician using a battery operated pump and filtered cassettes compatible with analysis by Transmission Electron Microscopy. The sampling and the analysis for asbestos fibers were conducted in accordance with those procedures described in ASTM 5755.

The results of the analysis of the four samples indicate no asbestos in the tested areas including the roof drain, water drain channel, tank room roof, and elevator room roof. Enclosed are copies of the laboratory report and associated chain-of-custody form for these samples.
