The survey included sampling for airborne dust characterization and air sample collection for TEM analysis, as well as absence/presence of asbestos in settled dust. One (1) air sample was collected from the lobby by security desk, and analyzed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) for asbestos structures. The results of the analysis indicated that airborne asbestos levels at the time of testing were less than the analytical sensitivity of the instrument, as well as well below the EPA standard of 70 structurcs/mm? and other recommended industry guidelines and/or regulations. Four (4) settled dust samples were collected from various locations on floors 2, 3, 9 and lobby and analyzed for the absence/presence of asbestos. All four (4) settled dust samples collected tested negative for the presence of asbestos. One (1) air sample was collected from the lobby by security desk and analyzed for dust characterization. ‘The sample was composed primarily of gravel road dust, carbon particles, fungal spores and cement dust. Although the concentrations of carbon particles and gravel dust were slightly elevated, the levels detected should not pose any adverse health concerns to the building occupants.
