Mr. Steve Stiles LVI P11 Re: 22 Thames Street, New York City Ambient Project # 211464

Dear Mr. Stiles:

The following is a summary of the indoor environmental quality survey that Ambient Group, Inc. performed on October 7, 2001 at the above referenced location. The survey included sampling for airborne dust characterization and air sample collection for TEM analysis, as well as absence/presence of asbestos in settled dust.

Three (3) air samples were collected from various locations on the 9m floor and analyzed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) for asbestos structures. The results of the analysis indicated that airborne asbestos levels at the time of testing were well below the EPA standard of 70 structures/mm2 and other recommended industry guidelines and/or regulations.

Six (6) settled dust samples were collected from various locations on the 9`h floor and analyzed for the absence/presence of asbestos. All six (6) settled dust samples collected from the carpet and furniture tops tested negative for the presence of asbestos. Other constituents found in these settled dust samples are all items found in New York City commercial office buildings.

Should you have any questions regarding this information, please feel free to call me.

Sincerely, Signed for Ambient Group, Inc. by: c2i ç•,4':;J ' ' fri John P. Springston, CIH, C P Director of Field Operations
