Dear Mr. Radhakrishnan, On behalf of Grace Farm Realty, Corp., I am responding to your letters dated February 8 & 12, 2002. As you said in our phone conversation on Tuesday morning (Feb, 19) you simply letter explaining how and when the building want a was cleaned of the debris that fell from the W- after the 9/11 disaster. These steps were TC taken: 1. The outside of the building was power-washed by street, Manhattan; phone: (212) 736-7748]. They Excellent Cleaning [address 260 West 36th began on 11/17 and had completed most work (Reade street facade, Chambers street facade, eastern side wall, and roof) about two weeks later. However, parts of the west wall remains to be done; the cleaning company is waiting for better weather.

2. The common interior spaces of the building were cleaned by Maxons Restorations, Inc. (280 Madison Avenue, Manhattan; phone: (212) 447-6767]. The contract was issued on 9/22 and the work completed within three weeks, it included cleaning of all walls, floors, and the interior vent system in public and private spaces (kitchen and bathroom systems separately) and changing of all filters.

3. There are eight private units in the building. All were cleaned by the owners shortly after they returned to the building on September 17-19. We used procedures conforming to the guidelines issued by the DEP (HEPA vacuum cleaners, etc.). In some cases these efforts were followed by professional services, e.g. SERVPRO (1-800-879-9119) which cleaned unit 4S, on October 23- 24 using a crew of 10 people and Maxons Restorations [unit 2N on October 14]. It should be noted that no windows were open at the time of the disaster, and none was opened when the building was evacuated on 9/11. The motors to the central venting system were shut off on 9/11.
