Re: 44 Trinity Pl. (aka 81 Greenwich St.)

Dear Ms Jaffe:

I have your letter of May 13 regarding the proposed cleaning of buildings near the site of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Please review the enclosed correspondence with DEC on this matter. The agency's communications with this office have been worryingly inconsistent, exposing EBW, LLC, the owner of the referenced property, to charges of neglect and worse, despite the documented fact that the owner has followed and exceeded DEC directives since September 14. In discussions on the matter, DEC personnel have been reasonable, but the agency's written communications continue to leave EBW, LLC vulnerable to those charges.

Is there any way in which you can help to resolve this worrisome situation?

Thank you in advance for any assistance you can offer.

Yours Truly,

Bernard McElhone for EBW, LLC
