Removals and Cleaning
Dear Penny,
Pursuant to a meeting yesterday with ETS and JLC, I've been asked to prepare a Memo for
purposes of clarification.
The following items were discussed at the site on 3/9103.
1. The walls are thoroughly marked in green paint. However, the contractors may find that
the elevator walls and east and west walls of the commercial spaces are of solid plaster. It is not
necessary to remove any plaster walls. Also, the intent of the plans is to remove one side of every
wall, while at the same time, keeping stone panels in place, including the stone in the lobby,
kitchens and bathrooms. If, after the green marked walls are removed, there are still some areas
that are not easily cleaned, please contact our office to review the field condition.
2. All drywall ceilings are to be removed throughout. Stone ceilings in showers and steam
showers to remain. Take extra care to retain black iron system and framing elements.
3. Light trims to be removed from ceilings. All light fixture housings to remain attached to
ceiling framing, whenever possible, and cleaned in place.
4. Remove faceplates on all electrical switches and outlets. Do not disconnect items, but
pull forward in box and clean in place.
5. Please issue ETS and JLC the HVAC Shop Drawing that our office sent to Krish. It will
help them In understanding DEP Spec Item #14.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you.
Very Truly Yours,
Christopher Wamick, RA
