You confirmed that the cleaning of the building would include the common areas and the ’’innards" of the building, including the elevator shaft, the HVAC system, the basement and the flues. We mentioned that in some apartments, there will be special cleaning issues, such as the areas above drop ceilings, under carpeting, under floorboards where necessary, behind walls where the walls have been punctured, behind cabinets, under radiator covers, inside hollow firebricks, on chimneys and bare brick walls, on track lighting, inside cupboards and anywhere else where dust may have accumulated. You agreed that this would be addressed on the walk through. You also stated that you would make it a goal to include the commercial space in the cleaning, as well as the ventilation ducts and cooking vents in the commercial space, because of the risks of recontamination if this is not included in the scope of work. As we mentioned, the tenants have a significant fear of recontamination of the building, particularly if Deutsche Bank is demolished. You agreed tc consider our request for follow up testing in six months cr a year to assess the safety in the building at that time.
