Contact Person Time of Inspection from: 8:00 A.M. — 12:15 P.M. These were scheduled inspections with the building residents, the construction manager, architect, and the DEP Cleanup Contractor. The first scheduled inspection was at 8:00 A.M. However, the lobby door was secured and access to the building was not obtained until 8:30 A.M.

The walk-through of the apartment on the 5th Floor disclosed that most personal belongings were not within the apartment. The built-in cabinets had been dismantled and were centrally located. The hardware for the cabinets was not containerized and was located at various locations. I suggested the hardware be placed at a centralized location and containerized so that the pieces do not get misplaced. An armoire was present approaching the kitchen. Some damage to the piece was evident. The resident indicated the unit was to be restored and that it would be removed from the apartment prior to our cleaning activities. A leather sofa was present in a rear room (probably the master bedroom). The resident indicated that it also would be removed prior to the start of the cleaning activities. A wicker and wood bench with back was located in the adjacent bedroom. This item was to be cleaned. The flooring in the living room was damaged and buckling at portions. Some broken tiles were present and visible below the wood flooring. Some redesign of the unit was in progress with the architect. The resident indicated ETS would not have to provide care .in the demolition in the living room due to the redesign plans. A listing of items was not provided.

The walk-through on the third floor was limited to the apartment. Again most personal belongings were not within the apartment. The items that the resident was to keep had issues for properly cleaning and were addressed with the resident. The resident had a plant that she has been coming and caring for since 9/11/01. The plant was in good condition but had a thin film of dust on the leaves. The resident was advised that this was not an item that would be effectively cleaned and saved since the soil would require removal. The resident was to decide what to do with the plant. Three kitchen stools with wicker seat and back, three rough wood planters, stereo components, large screen TV, computer monitor and keyboard, two fabric suitcases, and boxed items (unknown what was in the boxes) were to remain in the unit for cleaning.
