Dear Mr. Versace:
Ambient Group, Inc- performed air monitoring during temoval and clean-up procedures
an the 5"' floor, ACS fan units I through 6, at 180 Maiden Lane, New York, NY. Work
was performed on September 2l to September 23, 2001.
Ambient Group, Inc. collected and analyzed a total of thirty (30) airborne fiber samples
over the course of this project. Of this total, thirteen (1;3) were contamination samples,
twelve (1 2) were re-occupancy samples and five (5) samples were fi eld blanks.
Analytical results indicated airborne fiber levels below 0.01 fibers/cnt', Sample analysis
was conducted by Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) in accordance with NIOSH method
7400. A copy of the results are attached. The designated work areas were released for
reoccupancy upon receipt of the analysis results and a final visual inspection that found
no visible debris.
